The Pratibha Prabhakar Pulmonary Rehabilitation Centre in Goregaon, Mumbai, recently curated an event underscoring the importance of healthy lifestyles and pure air, particularly for patients suffering from pulmonary diseases. The gathering drew attention to the dire necessity for regular health monitoring, including the crucial supply of oxygen.
Renowned philanthropist and 'Masala King' Dhananjay Datar was among the attendees, providing vital support to those in need. Datar donated oxygen kits to three patients unable to afford them, each containing a home oxygen concentrator, a portable oxygen machine, and a pulse oximeter. Last year, he had similarly donated kits and has been a steadfast supporter of initiatives such as the 'Rickshaw Ambulance' drive.
The event was orchestrated by Dr. Poorvi Devani, whose extensive experience in pulmonary rehabilitation was evident. Dr. Prahlad Prabhudesai and Mrs. Vaishali Prabhudesai, the founders of the Centre, emphasized the necessity of proper health management and the intrinsic value of each breath, encouraging community-wide health consciousness.
