Airbus Soars with Ambitious Expansion Plans in India
Airbus aims to expand its workforce to over 5,000 in India, while doubling its sourcing from the country to USD 2 billion within a few years. The company is also enhancing its 'Make-in-India' strategy by investing in local manufacturing and pilot training facilities.

Airbus has announced plans to increase its Indian workforce to over 5,000 while doubling its current sourcing value from the country to USD 2 billion, according to top company officials.
During the inauguration of the Airbus India and South Asia Headquarters - Training Centre, President Remi Maillard highlighted the company's escalating engagement with India, which currently employs around 3,500 people directly and sources services worth 1 billion euros annually.
The company also plans to enhance local production by manufacturing the C295 military aircraft and the H125 helicopter in collaboration with the Tata Group, alongside developing sustainable aviation fuel in partnership with Indian research organizations.
