India is on the brink of transforming into a global electronics manufacturing hub, relying heavily on a vital partnership with the US, according to S Krishnan, Secretary of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. Speaking at the Indo-US Task Force for Electronics round-table, over 40 industry leaders from both countries gathered to outline strategies for expanding electronics trade.
With electronics poised to become the dominant manufacturing sector globally, India is determined to secure a significant market share. Touting American firms' role in India's growth as a testament to success, MeitY Secretary Krishnan emphasized the importance of trust-based supply chains for achieving these ambitions.
The collaborative efforts through ICEA and the Indo-US Task Force aim to enhance India's position in global supply chains and innovation. The partnership envisions integrated efforts to not only drive trade but also to foster substantial employment opportunities and establish India's prowess in emerging sectors.
