A bomb threat concerning an Akasa Air flight was reported at Bhubaneswar's Biju Patnaik International Airport, officials disclosed on Thursday. Security measures were quickly intensified across the facility.
According to BPIA Director Prasanna Mohanty, authorities responded to a social media post on 'X' claiming explosives were planted aboard the flight. Following standard procedures, the flight was thoroughly inspected and ultimately cleared for departure.
The incident was deemed a hoax, Mohanty confirmed, yet security has been reinforced as a precautionary measure to ensure passenger safety.
