Tragic Crash Halts New Mexico Air Show
A small plane crashed during an air show in New Mexico, leading to the death of the pilot. The incident occurred during an aerobatic performance at the Las Cruces Air and Space Expo. Authorities have suspended the expo, and an investigation is underway.
A tragic accident struck the Las Cruces Air and Space Expo on Sunday when a small aircraft crashed, resulting in the death of its pilot.
The incident happened around 2:30 pm when the two-seat Extra Flugzeugbau EA300 monoplane went down west of the Las Cruces International Airport.
Following the fatal accident, which occurred during an aerobatic performance, the remainder of the expo was canceled. Investigators from the National Transportation Safety Board and New Mexico State Police are examining the scene and wreckage.
