Borosil is gearing up for exponential growth, targeting a revenue of Rs 7,000 crore by 2028, according to Executive Vice Chairman Shreevar Kheruka. The multi-faceted company operates in glassware, laboratory equipment, and solar glasses sectors.

Key to this ambitious plan is a Rs 250 crore investment aimed at expansion and increased capacity. Included in this investment is a new plant for Borosil Ltd in Gujarat, estimated to cost Rs 150 crore. An additional Rs 100 crore will be allocated for improving efficiency at their Jaipur unit.

Despite past acquisitions and growth, challenges loom from Chinese competition in the solar glass market. However, Borosil Renewables aims to double its capacity and turnover in three years. With rising urban middle-class incomes steering them away from plastic, Borosil also plans a strategic pivot to insulated steel bottles alongside glassware.
