Dalmia Bharat's Profit Dips Amid Cement Price Challenges
Dalmia Bharat Ltd reported a significant 60.16% decline in net profit for the September quarter due to falling cement prices, with profits down to Rs 49 crore from Rs 123 crore the previous year. Despite an increase in sales volume, overall revenue and total income also saw a decline.

Dalmia Bharat Ltd experienced a sharp decline in consolidated net profit, dropping by 60.16% to Rs 49 crore for the September quarter, attributed to declining cement prices, as stated in a regulatory filing.
The company reported a revenue drop of 2.09% to Rs 3,087 crore during this period, compared to Rs 3,153 crore in the same quarter last year. Total income decreased by 2.28%, despite a 14.1% rise in sales volume to 6.7 million tonnes.
CFO Dharmender Tuteja noted the external challenges affecting profitability but emphasized the company's focus on long-term cost efficiencies. The company also expanded its renewable energy capacity by commissioning a 16 MW solar power plant in Tamil Nadu, bringing total renewable energy consumption to 39%.
