In a move towards digital accessibility, residents of Himachal Pradesh will soon have online access to their marriage, birth, and death certificates, announced Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu. This initiative marks a significant step in the state's efforts to streamline public service delivery.

During a review meeting of the Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department, Sukhu highlighted the achievements under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act. In the financial year 2023-24, the state surpassed its target with 344.31 lakh labor days achieved, and continues to set ambitious goals for the coming year.

The state also emphasized the success of 43,161 self-help groups under the National Rural Livelihood Mission. 'Himera' shops selling SHG products reported impressive sales figures, prompting plans for an online platform to boost product marketing and the development of Himera products as premium brands.
