Jay Patel, the esteemed Hollywood producer and actor celebrated for his portrayal of Shyamji Krishna Varma in 'Swatantrya Veer Savarkar', recently marked an emotional homecoming by attending the OG Garba in Ahmedabad during the vibrant Navratri festival. After more than two decades abroad, Patel returned to his roots, diving into one of Gujarat's cherished cultural events.

Patel expressed heartfelt gratitude for the meticulous efforts of the organising team: Tulsa, Swati, Dhairya, and Jasmin Patel, praising how the traditional lighting and high-spirited ambiance reflected their dedication. Dressed in customary Indian attire, Patel was moved by the festival's demonstration of cultural heritage, stating, "The festival painted a vivid picture of our rich culture and the palpable energy surrounding me was breathtaking. I'm delighted to be back in India and particularly in my hometown, Ahmedabad."

Motivated by his experiences, Patel shared aspirations to produce a Hollywood film encapsulating Navratri's essence—showcasing the vibrant spectacle of garba, dandiya dances, and the spiritual pulse of the festival's nine nights. He promised his childhood friends a yearly return to Ahmedabad for Navratri, and he fondly recounted his visit to the Laxmi Vilas Palace in Vadodara, where he appreciated the impeccable hospitality extended by Radhikaraje Gaekwad and Mr. Narasimha.
