Tragedy Strikes: Girl Killed by Electric Bus in Delhi

In a heart-wrenching incident in North Delhi's Subji Mandi area, a 12-year-old girl lost her life after being struck by an electric DTC bus on Tuesday as she returned from school, according to police reports.

An irate crowd retaliated by vandalizing the bus, demanding action against the driver. The tragic event took place on Malkaganj Main Road, when the bus traveling between Anand Parbat and Anand Vihar ISBT struck the girl, named Komal.

Bystanders rushed her to a nearby hospital where she was declared dead. Meanwhile, the bus driver, Sher Singh, was detained by the public and surrendered to authorities. Police confirmed the arrest, noting damage to the bus and its CCTV camera. A case has been registered and investigations are ongoing.
