E-commerce leader Amazon India announced a substantial 25% year-on-year growth in its home, kitchen, and outdoors segments in Assam, with the largest uptick seen in Guwahati. The company emphasized its dedication to facilitating local producer partnerships to strengthen market reach.
Particularly noteworthy is the 30% year-on-year boost in home décor demand in Guwahati and a 35% rise across Assam. Remarkably, large furniture sales surged by 50% year-on-year, while kitchen essentials, including pressure cookers and gas stoves, witnessed a 30% increase, highlighting consumer tilt toward convenience.
Amazon India underscored its plans to continue aligning with local stores and MSMEs, introducing new tools and technologies to support its partners and bring innovative solutions, further boosting entrepreneurial spirit throughout the region.
