In a noteworthy development, Jawaharlal Nehru Port reported a 16.49% growth in container traffic, handling 596,790 TEUs in September compared to the same month last year, which saw 512,316 TEUs.
The premier Indian container port dealt with a total of 7.38-million tons of traffic in September, marking a 6.14% rise from last year's 6.95-million tons, according to the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA).
Emphasizing its commitment to sustainable logistics, JNPA noted effective operations across its five container terminals and additional facilities. This includes new initiatives aimed at facilitating a seamless EXIM experience for the industry.
