The accident, occurring around 1 am near the Mirzapur-Varanasi border, prompted high-level reactions, including messages of condolence and financial aid announcements by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The leaders have pledged Rs 2 lakh to the families of each deceased and Rs 50,000 to the injured.
