MilkLane, a dairy brand under Swiss-Indian food and technology platform company Innoterra, announced the launch of its dairy procurement services on Tuesday. This initiative aims to provide aflatoxin and antibiotic-safe milk to dairy companies, start-ups, and other new entrants in the sector.

Through its Procurement as a Service (PaaS) offering, MilkLane will ensure high-quality, consistent milk year-round by procuring raw chilled milk (RCM) from dairy farmers following stringent quality tests. The service has been rolled out in Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala.

MilkLane's flexible service model will offer multiple options to B2B customers based on their needs at competitive prices. Industry data reveals that India's dairy sector was valued over Rs 16,000 billion in 2023 and is projected to grow to around Rs 50,000 billion by 2032, with a CAGR of 12.88% during 2023-2032.

"With the rising demand for consistent, high-quality, and safe milk in the dairy sector, reliable sourcing has become crucial. The industry faces challenges such as inconsistent fat and SNF levels, antibiotic contamination, high microbial counts, and aflatoxin presence, which compromise product quality and consumer safety," said Avinash Kasinathan, Head of India Business at Innoterra.
