In a disruption on Monday, a goods train engine derailed in Jharkhand's Saraikela-Kharswan district, officials confirmed. The incident occurred near the Chandil crossing and impacted railway services in the Chakradharpur division of South Eastern Railway for more than an hour.

Fortunately, no casualties were reported. Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Aditya Choudhary revealed that the derailment involved the front wheel of the engine going off the tracks.

Authorities worked promptly to restore services in the affected section, bringing operations back to normalcy, Choudhary added.
