Somaiya Vidyavihar University Forms Alumni Association to Enhance Community Engagement

The newly formed non-profit organization aims to strengthen connections among alumni, support university initiatives, and foster a vibrant community. Somaiya Vidyavihar University in Mumbai has formed the Somaiya Vidyavihar University Alumni Association (SVUAA) to build a robust network of former students and enhance the university's outreach and initiatives. The association, officially registered under the Societies Registration Act 1860, will facilitate engagement with current and past students.
The SVUAA will serve as a crucial link between the university and its alumni, offering a platform for interaction and collaboration. It aims to support educational and research activities, assist with job placements, and encourage alumni involvement in university events. Chaired by Vice Chancellor Prof. V N Rajasekharan Pillai, the association's inaugural meeting, held on August 4, 2024, saw Jaideep Kewalramani nominated as its first President.
The new President, an alumnus from the 2004 batch, emphasized the association's plans to invite all alumni to join and bolster the university's legacy. The formation of SVUAA marks a significant milestone for Somaiya Vidyavihar University, further establishing it as a leading institution committed to academic excellence, research, and community engagement.
