ZF Rane Automotive Unveils State-of-the-Art Inflator Facility in Tamil Nadu

ZF Rane Automotive India Ltd, a collaboration between Rane Group and Germany's ZF, has launched a Rs 100 crore inflator manufacturing plant in Tamil Nadu. The facility aims to produce 3 million inflators annually, enhancing local content and meeting market demands while supporting India's Make in India initiative.

ZF Rane Automotive India Ltd, the joint venture between the diversified conglomerate Rane Group and Germany's ZF, has officially opened its Rs 100 crore inflator manufacturing and sled test facility in Tamil Nadu.

As a global technology provider of advanced mobility products and systems, ZF Rane's new facility, located at their plant in Trichy, around 350 km south of Chennai, will initially produce 3 million inflators per year.

The company said that this investment aims to boost local content in airbags and enhance their testing capabilities, thus reducing lead times for delivering products while reinforcing their commitment to 'Make in India' initiative.
