Tamil Nadu and RGBSI have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a state-of-the-art electronics and telematics manufacturing unit in Hosur, involving an investment of Rs 100 crore. The MoU ceremony took place in Chicago, USA, witnessed by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin.

According to an official statement from the DIPR, Secretariat in Chennai, Tamil Nadu has been consistently capturing substantial investments from both private and public sectors. This strategy has positioned the state as a leader in higher education enrollment and a major production hub in the country.

Chief Minister Stalin has set an ambitious target of transforming Tamil Nadu into a USD 1 trillion economy by 2030. To this end, he is on an official tour of the USA, where he has secured MoUs worth Rs 7,516 crore with 17 global companies. These initiatives aim to generate employment for the state's youth and foster economic growth.

During the Chicago event, Chief Minister Stalin met top executives from global firms, extending invitations for further investments in Tamil Nadu. The MoU with RGBSI marks a significant step towards achieving the state's economic goals. RGBSI specializes in workforce management, engineering, quality lifecycle management, and IT solutions, with its corporate headquarters in Troy, Michigan, USA.

The MoU signing was attended by RGBSI Chairman and CEO Dr. Nanua Singh, other senior executives, and key Tamil Nadu government officials, including the Minister for Industries, Thiru TRB Rajaa, and Secretary for Industries, Thiru V Arun Roy.
