According to a recent survey by Unstop, 47% of Gen Z professionals are planning to leave their current jobs within the next two years, citing work-life balance and career growth as top priorities.

The report, 'Gen Z at the Workplace,' also reveals that 51% of Gen Z professionals fear job loss, and 40% worry about securing roles in their preferred fields. Despite these concerns, 77% prioritize job roles or brands over salary, with 43% valuing hands-on experience and growth opportunities.

The disconnect between Gen Z's motivations and HR perceptions is notable, as 78% of Gen Z switch jobs for career growth, while 71% of HR professionals believe it is for better pay. Work-life balance remains a critical factor, with 47% of respondents emphasizing its importance when considering potential employers.

The data underscores Gen Z's ambition for a supportive and growth-oriented work environment. Employers who adapt to these expectations will attract and retain the new generation of employees, according to Ankit Aggarwal, Founder and CEO of Unstop.
