Amazon India's Seasonal Hiring Surge
Amazon India has created over 110,000 seasonal jobs to meet festive season demand. Positions span across major cities including Mumbai, Delhi, and Bangalore. Notably, the company focuses on inclusive hiring, onboarding thousands of women and nearly 1900 disabled individuals. Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya praised these efforts.

Amazon India announced on Thursday that it has created over 110,000 seasonal job opportunities across its operations network to cater to increased demand during the festive season.
These positions include both direct and indirect jobs in cities such as Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, and Chennai. According to a company statement, many associates continue to work with Amazon even post-festive season, and some return year after year for these roles.
Abhinav Singh, VP--Operations, Amazon India, stated, 'We have hired over 1.1 lakh additional people to strengthen our fulfillment and logistics network and ensure we can handle the increased demand seamlessly.'
Amazon has hired thousands of women and nearly 1900 disabled persons into its existing network. 'It is encouraging to see the company hiring a significant number of women and persons with disabilities while prioritizing the well-being of its associates through initiatives on safety, healthcare, and educational support,' said Union Minister of Labour & Employment and Youth Affairs & Sports Mansukh Mandaviya.
