Uplifting Futures: Charitable Event Brings Joy to Tezpur's Underprivileged Children

The IYDF, with Campion A1 Tuition Center, hosted a charitable event at Mazgaon Balika Vidyalaya in Tezpur on 6 September 2024, providing educational supplies and recreational equipment to 36 underprivileged children. The event highlighted the importance of community support in fostering education and joy among the youth.

TEZPUR, Assam—The International Youth Development Fund (IYDF), in partnership with Campion A1 Tuition Center, orchestrated a charitable event at Mazgaon Balika Vidyalaya School on September 6, 2024. The initiative delivered essential educational supplies and recreational tools to 36 underprivileged children, aged 4 to 10, with the goal of promoting learning and well-being.

The children received a plethora of donations, including backpacks, water bottles, art and craft kits, badminton sets, cricket bats, footballs, tennis sets, pencils, exam writing boards, and nutritional supplements like Horlicks. The event was further enlivened with sweets and snacks, ensuring the children enjoyed a fun-filled day. Headmaster Biraj Kalita expressed immense gratitude, noting the significant impact these contributions would have on the school's resources and students' opportunities.

Interactive activities, such as quiz competitions and dance performances, engaged the children's talents and enthusiasm, fostering an atmosphere of joy and collaboration. Volunteers organized games like the 'hand-in-hand' race and the 'one-finger, two-finger, three-finger' dance game. Reflecting on the event, organizer Alok Baruah emphasized Mahatma Gandhi's principle, 'A rise in the lowest is a rise for all,' highlighting the importance of uplifting underprivileged children for collective progress. IYDF and Campion plan to continue similar efforts, aiming to reach more children and provide vital educational resources.
