In a strategic move to lead the electric mobility journey in India, Czech carmaker Skoda Auto will introduce vehicles spanning from mild hybrids to fully electric options. Klaus Zellmer, Chairman of Management Board & CEO, announced the plan on Tuesday.

Skoda has earmarked an entry-level electric vehicle for a global debut in 2026, also intended for the Indian market. This will be followed by the SUV Enyaq and another compact SUV named Elroq.

'We have a concrete plan covering the whole range of cars including mild hybrids, plug-in hybrids, and battery electric vehicles,' Zellmer stated at the annual convention of the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM). Skoda's approach aims to respect customer choices and affordability in their electric vehicle offerings.
