New Delhi, September 9 – The Wadhwani Initiative for Sustainable Healthcare (WISH) Foundation USA has announced Dr. Rakesh Kumar's appointment as Chief Consultant - Global Health. Dr. Kumar will focus on developing global strategies and expanding the foundation's AI-enabled public health delivery model.

Dr. Kumar, formerly the CEO of the non-profit Lords Education and Health Society (LEHS), significantly advanced digital health in India. His distinguished career includes crucial roles in policy and program implementation at senior levels with the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, State Governments, and UN agencies.

A graduate from AIIMS, with fellowships from prestigious institutions, Dr. Kumar led major health initiatives, including polio eradication and the Mission Indradhanush immunization program. His new role at WISH Foundation promises to extend impactful healthcare solutions to low- and middle-income countries.
