Drone sightings prompted Swedish authorities to temporarily halt air traffic at Stockholm's Arlanda Airport overnight, according to a police statement released on Monday. An investigation into potential airport sabotage is underway.

Stockholm's largest airport, Arlanda experienced a halt in operations from 2300 GMT to 0130 GMT. The aviation authority spokesperson, quoted by Daily Aftonbladet, mentioned that four drones of varying sizes were observed from the air traffic control tower.

"A decision was then made to halt take-off and landing," the spokesperson said. A Swedavia spokesperson confirmed the temporary suspension but declined further comment. The aviation authority was not immediately available for remarks.
