Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Thursday launched the Himachal Road Transport Corporation's Common Mobility Card, promoting cashless travel across the country.

The card integrates multiple payment options and facilitates cashless travel in various public transports both within and outside Himachal Pradesh, a statement issued confirmed.

Sukhu highlighted that this initiative marks a milestone for the state's public transport, aiming to streamline travel and enhance user convenience across transit systems nationwide. The card is interoperable with other public transport systems, including the Delhi Metro and Mumbai's BEST buses, allowing seamless travel for users.

The state government is committed to transforming the HRTC into a self-sustaining organization by integrating technology into its operations, Sukhu said, noting that the card functions without internet, ideal for regions with limited connectivity.
