The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) has launched a new framework aimed at promoting sustainable and responsible investment practices. Dubbed the ICSI Guiding Principles on Stewardship (IGPS), the framework is designed to empower institutional investors and service providers.

According to a release, the IGPS outlines best practices that encompass environmental, social, and governance factors. This initiative aligns with global trends and provides much-needed guidance towards sustainable and responsible investing, ICSI stated.

The framework was unveiled at the institute's Middle East Conference held in Abu Dhabi, UAE, on Wednesday.
