Seven individuals were saved from the sea while 21 remain unaccounted for after a tragic migrant shipwreck off the coast of Lampedusa, an Italian island, as reported by Italian news agency ANSA on Wednesday.
Rescue operations initiated by the coast guard successfully retrieved the seven survivors, who disclosed that their journey began from Libya on Saturday, carrying 28 people onboard.
The rescued individuals, all Syrian nationals, revealed that three children are among the missing, further stated the ANSA report.
