A tragic incident unfolded as a Coast Guard helicopter crashed into the Arabian Sea off the Gujarat coast, leading to the deaths of two crew members. The bodies of pilot Vipin Babu and diver Karan Singh were recovered, while the search for missing pilot Rakesh Rana continues.

According to Coast Guard spokesperson Amit Uniyal, the helicopter, conducting a medical emergency operation, went down around 11 pm on Monday. Of the four crew members, diver Gautam Kumar was rescued immediately after the crash.

Navi Bandar police station has filed an accidental death report following the recovery of two bodies. The reasons behind the crash, 30 nautical miles off the coast, remain unknown. Four ships and an aircraft are part of the ongoing search operation.
