In a significant move towards improving rural connectivity, the Delhi Metro's Rithala-Narela corridor will be extended to connect Kundli-Nathupur in Haryana, as announced by Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot.

The Delhi government has given its principal nod and will soon forward the proposal to the Centre for tendering. The extended Metro line will span 23.73 kilometers, including a 2.72 km stretch in Haryana, Gahlot revealed at a recent press conference.

The minister emphasized that the new corridor will bridge the rural regions of the Delhi-Haryana border to the city, making it accessible within 1.5 hours. Additionally, he touched upon Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal's ongoing legal troubles, mentioning the Supreme Court hearing scheduled for Thursday.
