Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd. has completed a groundbreaking LED street lighting project on Bengaluru's Satellite Town Ring Road (STRR), in collaboration with Shankaranarayana Construction Pvt. Ltd. for the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) - NH648. This initiative aims to improve road safety and reduce electricity consumption.

The 280-kilometer STRR connects 12 major towns, aiming to reduce traffic congestion and facilitate economic growth in the Bengaluru region. As the primary OEM lighting solution provider for NHAI projects, Crompton installed over 2,000 high-efficiency streetlights with advanced lighting designs, enhancing visibility along a 42-kilometer stretch between Dobaspete and Doddaballapur.

The deployment includes advanced features such as robust construction, IP66 ingress protection, optimal light distribution, and high lumen efficacy. These LED streetlights are expected to improve road safety and contribute to environmental conservation by reducing carbon emissions and energy consumption by up to 50%.
