A commercial bus overturned on Interstate 20 in Mississippi Saturday morning, resulting in seven fatalities, according to the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
Among the deceased were a 6-year-old boy and his 16-year-old sister, identified by their mother. The National Transportation Safety Board cited tire failure as the cause.
Thirty-seven passengers were rushed to hospitals in Vicksburg and Jackson. The investigation is ongoing, and the names of the deceased have yet to be released.
