A scheduled flight from Thiruvananthapuram to Bengaluru faced an unexpected halt due to a bird strike on Monday morning, airport authorities reported.
The incident occurred moments before takeoff, impacting 179 passengers aboard IndiGo flight 6E 6629. Officials confirmed that the aircraft had to return to its bay for safety checks and maintenance.
Airport sources indicated that the affected passengers were accommodated on an alternate flight later in the day at 6:30 pm as the impacted aircraft underwent necessary repairs.
