New Delhi [India], August 28 (VMPL): In a significant announcement during the festive Dahi-Handi celebrations, a film titled 'The Iron Lady: Geeta Jain' has been introduced to honor the remarkable efforts of BJP MLA Geeta Bharat Jain from the Mira-Bhayandar constituency. The celebrations, with thousands of participants, served as a fitting backdrop for the announcement.

The film announcement took place during the Dahi-Handi event organized by MLA Jain in Mira Road, graced by Bollywood actress Mahima Chaudhary, who commended the decision and clapped the inauguration. Known for her dedicated service since becoming an independent Corporator in 2002, Jain has served as Mayor and now MLA, focusing on the public good. Directors Wasim Akhtar and Iqbal Pervez will helm the film, produced by Kumar Kanhaiya Singh under the banner 'Onestand India Private Limited.'

Director Kamal Chandra of the acclaimed film 'Hamare Baarah' praised Geeta Jain's efforts in transforming Mira-Bhayandar, tackling issues from water shortages to local crime. Jain expressed her joy at the film's announcement, reflecting on her 22 years of service and commitment to her constituents. Notably, she has initiated a project for a state-of-the-art cancer hospital to further aid her community, with construction already underway.
