Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], August 24: The MSME sector in Maharashtra is embarking on a digital transformation, thanks to the Confederation of Indian Industry's (CII) innovative Digital Saksham program. Supported by MasterCard, the project aims to bridge the digital divide for micro enterprises by offering training across 13 states and 55 industrial clusters. In Maharashtra alone, the initiative has reached 10,000 MSMEs, with 4,000 businesses receiving training and 3,000 adopting digital solutions.

Mr. Sameer Gupta, Chairman of CII National MSME Council and Chairman and Managing Director of Jakson Group, highlighted the program's impact, noting inspiring success stories across various sectors. In Nashik, for example, the food processing industry is transitioning to virtual marketplaces, while Pune's textile sector is integrating modern technology with traditional craftsmanship. Mumbai's retail landscape is also evolving, as local shops embrace digital storefronts to compete globally.

Entrepreneurs like Sanjeev Ghongade of MicroIndia, Tatyarao Pese of Shree Shanaishwas Engineering, and others in diverse sectors are transforming their businesses with digital tools. The initiative encourages collaboration among stakeholders, promoting knowledge-sharing and best practices. As Maharashtra continues its industrial growth, CII's Digital Saksham project is crucial in empowering entrepreneurs, preserving heritage, and driving a sustainable, prosperous future.
