Mumbai Metro One Celebrates 100 Crore Commuter Landmark
Mumbai Metro One's Ghatkopar-Andheri-Versova corridor achieved a major milestone by serving 100 crore commuters. The line, inaugurated in 2014, serves 5 lakh commuters daily with high-frequency service. The 11-kilometre metro connects key parts of Mumbai, offering enhanced public transport.

Mumbai Metro One's Ghatkopar-Andheri-Versova corridor marked a significant milestone on Thursday, reaching 100 crore commuters.
Mumbai Metro One Private Limited, the operator, announced in a release that the line achieved this feat within a decade since its inauguration on June 8, 2014.
Currently, the metro line operates 430 trips daily, serving 5 lakh commuters with peak-hour frequencies of 3.5 minutes. "As the inaugural Metro line in Mumbai, we have transformed the commuter experience nationwide," said the release.
Spanning 11 kilometres and featuring 12 stations, the corridor offers crucial connectivity between Mumbai's eastern and western suburbs.
