Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Tuesday met President Droupadi Murmu to inform her about the decision to build six new railway lines in Odisha.
The minister emphasized that these new railway lines would significantly contribute to the economic development of the state and serve districts with substantial scheduled tribe populations.
'Today I met Her Excellency President Mrs. Droupadi Murmu and apprised her about the approval of six new railway lines in Odisha,' Vaishnaw announced in a post on X. The Cabinet approved these projects on August 9, which include the Gunupur-Therubali, Junagarh-Nabarangpur, Badampahar-Kendujhargarh, Bangriposi-Gorumahisani, Malkangiri-Pandurangapuram via Bhadrachalam, and Buramara-Chakulia railway lines.
