Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday announced the launch of the Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyan, a scheme designed to provide educated and trained youngsters the chance to become self-employed.

According to an official statement, Adityanath revealed that the state's 2024-25 budget has allocated funds specifically for the initiative. The Chief Minister emphasized the pressing need to implement this program now.

During a presentation by the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) department, officials noted that the scheme aims to provide financial grants to a lakh youngsters annually by facilitating loans and helping establish a lakh micro enterprises each year. Over the next decade, the program hopes to offer self-employment opportunities to a million youngsters.

The Chief Minister instructed that grants be made available to all categories, including general, Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, persons with disabilities, and women. He also stressed the importance of giving new entrepreneurs proper training in packaging, branding, and marketing before they receive financial aid.

Adityanath emphasized the need to raise awareness about the program to encourage more youngsters to become self-reliant.
