CISF Heightens Metro Security Ahead of Independence Day

The Central Industrial Security Force will intensify security checks at Delhi metro stations starting August 5, ahead of Independence Day, as announced by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) on Monday.
DMRC has advised passengers to cooperate with the security personnel and plan their journeys in accordance with the enhanced measures. In light of these developments, DMRC's principal executive director Anuj Dayal stated that security checks would be increased across metro stations from Tuesday.
Passengers should anticipate longer queues, particularly during peak hours, and are encouraged to allocate extra time for their commutes
