External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar is set to inaugurate the inaugural BIMSTEC Business Summit, which seeks to enhance regional collaboration via stronger trade and investment ties among the seven-member nations.

The summit, organized by the Ministry of External Affairs in conjunction with the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII), will take place from August 6-8. This landmark event aims to unite more than 300 key stakeholders from the Bay of Bengal region to explore avenues in trade, connectivity, energy security, inclusive growth, and sustainable development.

Union Minister of Commerce and Industries Piyush Goyal, along with other prominent leaders, will deliver keynote addresses. The event will witness the participation of ministers from various BIMSTEC member states, high-ranking government officials, and industry leaders.
