Uno Minda Partners with Aisin Corporation to Revolutionize Sunroof Market

Uno Minda Ltd has signed a technical licence agreement with Japan's Aisin Corporation to produce and sell vehicle sunroofs in India. This partnership aims to capitalize on the growing Indian automotive market, driven by technological innovation and increasing consumer demand for premium features like sunroofs.

Auto components maker Uno Minda Ltd announced on Thursday that it has entered into a technical licence agreement with Japan's Aisin Corporation. This collaboration aims to manufacture and sell vehicle sunroofs in India.

Aisin, a top 10 global Tier-1 automotive supplier, holds the largest market share in the sunroof segment in Japan and offers a variety of multi-panel, panoramic, and standard sunroofs.

The Indian automotive sector is witnessing impressive growth fueled by technological innovations and evolving consumer demands, said Uno Minda Group CMD Nirmal K Minda. Sunroofs have become a notable trend in this dynamic market.

The partnership will provide a range of sunroofs in India, further establishing Uno Minda and Aisin Corporation as frontrunners in the burgeoning sunroof market. Aisin Asia Pacific CEO Noriyuki Kitazato emphasized that the growing Indian automotive landscape offers a compelling market opportunity, driven by rising affluence and the desire for premium features.
