A massive fire erupted early Thursday in the SCADA server room of the Agra Rail Division control office, railway officials confirmed.
No casualties were reported, and train services continued without disruption. About 50 officials, including controllers, narrowly escaped harm.
Railway sources indicated that the fire likely started from a faulty battery in the battery room and quickly spread. The blaze was put out by 4 am with the help of fire extinguishers and the fire brigade. An inquiry committee has been formed under the Divisional Safety Officer to determine the cause.
