Mumbai-Howrah Mail Derails: Six Injured in Jharkhand

Ten coaches of the Mumbai-Howrah Mail derailed near Jharkhand's Seraikela-Kharsawan district early Tuesday, injuring six. The accident occurred at 3.45 AM near Badabamboo, close to Jamshedpur. Rescue operations are underway, and the injured have been given medical aid and are being transported to Chakradharpur for better treatment.

Early Tuesday, a derailment involving the Mumbai-Howrah Mail resulted in injuries to six passengers in Jharkhand's Seraikela-Kharsawan district, officials reported. The incident took place around 3.45 AM near Badabamboo, approximately 80 km from Jamshedpur, under the Chakradhatpur Division of South East Railway.

'Ten to twelve coaches of the Mumbai-Howrah Mail derailed near Badabamboo. Six passengers were injured in the accident and provided medical aid in Badabamboo. They are now being taken to Chakradharpur for better treatment,' a senior South East Railway official stated. Rescue operations are currently in progress.

The accident was also reported to involve a freight train. Local administration officials confirmed that the assessment of the number of injured people is ongoing.
