China's Envoy Embarks on Peace Mission to Global South

Chinese Special Envoy for Eurasian Affairs, Li Hui, will visit Brazil, South Africa, and Indonesia starting July 28 to discuss Ukraine's situation and peace talks with key Global South members. The visits aim to explore ways to de-escalate tensions and restart peace negotiations.

Chinese Special Envoy for Eurasian Affairs, Li Hui, is set to visit Brazil, South Africa, and Indonesia for a fourth round of shuttle diplomacy concerning Ukraine starting July 28, as announced by China's foreign ministry on Friday.

According to spokesperson Mao Ning, Li will engage in discussions with key members of the Global South about the current situation in Ukraine and the peace talks process. The envoy aims to identify ways to reduce tensions and create conditions conducive to restarting peace negotiations.

This diplomatic mission represents China's ongoing efforts to mediate and facilitate peace in the region, leveraging its relationships with important members of the Global South.
