CG Power Acquires Majority Stake in G G Tronics to Boost Railway Safety Portfolio
CG Power and Industrial Solutions Ltd has acquired a 55% stake in G G Tronics India Pvt Ltd for Rs 319.39 crore. The acquisition aims to expand CG Power's railway product portfolio by leveraging G G Tronics' expertise in electronic safety signalling systems, particularly the Train Collision Avoidance System (KAVACH).
CG Power and Industrial Solutions Ltd has announced the acquisition of a 55 percent stake in G G Tronics India Pvt Ltd for Rs 319.39 crore, aiming to diversify and strengthen its railway product portfolio.
G G Tronics, based in Bengaluru, specializes in Electronic Safety Embedded Signalling Systems, including the renowned 'KAVACH' system for railway transportation safety. This strategic acquisition is a move by CG Power to enhance its offerings in the Railway Industry, where it already boasts a strong presence with Traction Machines, Railway Propulsion Systems, and Railway Signalling Products.
The collaboration is expected to create significant synergies, combining CG Power's expertise in manufacturing and engineering with G G Tronics' specialized knowledge in railway safety. This will enable the companies to actively pursue projects like KAVACH and expand their customer base in the Indian Railways sector. Both companies' leaders have expressed optimism about the enhanced value and innovation this partnership will bring.
