First Yashasvini Awareness Campaign Empowers Women Entrepreneurs in Rajasthan

The Ministry of MSME, in collaboration with the Ministry of Rural Development and the Women Entrepreneurship Platform, organized the inaugural Yashasvini Awareness Campaign for women entrepreneurs at the Rajasthan International Centre, Jaipur, on 19th July 2024. The event was led by Shri Jitan Ram Manjhi, Hon'ble Union Minister for MSME, and featured Sushri Shobha Karandlaje, Hon’ble Minister of State for MSME, and Shri Krishan Kumar Vishnoi, Hon’ble Minister of State for Industries, Govt. of Rajasthan. The event included representatives from the State Government, State Rural Livelihood Mission, SIDBI, CGTMSE, banks, and Central Public Sector Undertakings. Over 650 women entrepreneurs, primarily from the informal sector and Self Help Groups, participated.

A key highlight was the on-the-spot assistance provided by various agencies for Udyam registration, Udyam Assist Platform, and PM Vishwakarma initial registration. The women entrepreneurs showed great interest in these initiatives and registrations.

In his address, Hon’ble Union Minister for MSME Shri Jitan Ram Manjhi acknowledged the historical limitations placed on women and celebrated their increasing presence in all fields. He encouraged the women entrepreneurs of Rajasthan to take full advantage of the MoMSME schemes, citing success stories of women who started small enterprises and are now exporting. He emphasized the need for financial institutions to create women-friendly credit products to enhance credit access for women entrepreneurs.

Hon’ble Union Minister of State for MSME Sushri Shobha Karandlaje praised the contribution of women to the Indian economy. She highlighted the success of the Self Help Group movement in India and noted the capabilities of women in multi-tasking and financial discipline, making them well-suited for entrepreneurship. She reiterated the government's commitment to addressing challenges faced by women entrepreneurs, such as lack of access to credit, market, and technology, and emphasized that women entrepreneurship is crucial for achieving a developed India.

Shri Krishan Kumar Vishnoi, Hon’ble Minister of State for Industries and Commerce, Govt. of Rajasthan, expressed gratitude to the Government of India for organizing the first Yashasvini campaign in Jaipur and highlighted Rajasthan's initiatives for industrial development, particularly for women entrepreneurs.

Dr. Ranjeesh, Additional Secretary & Development Commissioner, MSME, Govt. of India, also spoke at the event. The program included technical sessions on government initiatives to improve access to credit, markets, and capacity building for women entrepreneurs. The event saw a significant number of women registering for Udyam Registration, PM Vishwakarma, and GeM. Stalls set up by SIDBI, banks, KVIC, and NSIC attracted considerable interest from participants.
