The vessel, identified as MT Falcon Prestige, issued a distress signal at around 2200 hours on July 14. While the total crew consists of 16 members, it is reported that 13 of them are Indian nationals, adding to the urgency of the rescue efforts.
The Oman Maritime Security Center (OMSC) is leading the search and rescue mission, with additional support from the Indian Navy. Efforts are ongoing to locate and rescue the seafarers.
