IndianOil Launches STORM-X: Revolutionizing Racing Fuel in India

IndianOil rolls out STORM-X, a high-octane racing fuel, first delivered from Paradip Refinery to the Madras International Circuit. The launch was virtually attended by key directors and signifies a new chapter in Indian motor racing.

IndianOil has announced the inaugural dispatch of STORM-X, a high-octane gasoline specifically tailored for racing cars, with the first delivery from Paradip Refinery to the Madras International Circuit in Chennai. The launch event, marking this significant milestone, was virtually flagged off by V Satish Kumar, Director (Marketing), in the presence of N Senthil Kumar, Director (Pipelines), and Alok Sharma, Director (R&D).

STORM-X is IndianOil's latest innovation aimed at supporting top-tier motor racing events both domestically and internationally. Conceived by IndianOil Chairman Shrikant Madhav Vaidya, the new fuel is a testament to the company's pursuit of innovation and excellence.

The fuel was developed by the IndianOil Research & Development Centre in Faridabad and produced at the state-of-the-art Paradip Refinery. STORM-X features a blend of high-octane gasoline and advanced sustainable components, such as 2G Ethanol from the Panipat Refinery. Certified by Bureau Veritas, Dubai, it meets the FIA (Federation Internationale de l'Automobile) 2024 specifications, ensuring high performance and reliability.

In collaboration with the Madras Motor Sports Club, IndianOil will supply STORM-X for the 3rd and 4th rounds of the Indian National Racing Championship at the Madras International Circuit during the 2024 season. A total of 55 barrels of STORM-X were dispatched for the 3rd round, marking a significant development in Indian motor racing.
