The incident occurred near Daniyawan station, approximately 40 km from Patna, involving six carriages that jumped the tracks in the afternoon, according to a statement from the East Central Railway.
No injuries were reported, but the derailment caused the cancellation of at least five passenger trains, and the New Delhi-Islampur Magadh Express was short-terminated at Fatuha. A couple of other long-distance trains were rerouted.
