He was promptly taken to a private hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival. The truck driver, Maheboob Ashfaque Khan, 21, was subsequently arrested, according to Sonegaon police.

Later that night, 40-year-old Raju Tulsiram Waghmare was fatally crushed by a truck at 9pm in Lokmanyanagar. MIDC police confirmed that a case has been registered and an investigation is ongoing.
