Flipkart Camera lets you have visual, 3D experience of products before purchasing

The feature is also available for other categories like beauty, allowing consumers to virtually try products and purchase the one that suits their needs.

Flipkart has introduced a new augmented reality feature - Flipkart Camera - that enables shoppers to have a visual, 3D experience of products before buying them. 

Using Flipkart Camera, buyers can view products such as furniture, luggage and large appliances in their physical environment to understand their fit and how they will look in real life and make informed decisions. The feature is also available for other categories like beauty, allowing consumers to virtually try products and purchase the one that suits their needs.

How does Flipkart Camera's AR feature works?

To experience the new feature:

• Open the Flipkart app on your smartphone
• Search for a product you wish to buy
• Click on the option “View in your room” 
• Once the camera opens, rotate your phone's camera over the floor for a few seconds to activate the augmented reality feature
• You will be able to view a life-size replica of the product inside your home

The Flipkart Camera AR feature is available on the Flipkart app.
